They are the terms for the website. Any purchase you make from us is agreed with us directly, in the showroom or by email, WhatsApp or telephone, and the terms of that purchase are what we agree with you at the time.
What this website is for
This website is informational. It exists to show our collections, to explain how we work and to help you reach us.
There is no shopping cart, no checkout, no online payment and no customer account, by design. Chimanlals is a made-by-hand house and orders are arranged personally, so that we can tell you what is actually available before anything is settled.
Products, photographs and handmade variation
Everything shown here is made by hand, largely by silk-screen printing, colour by colour. That is the reason people buy it, and it is also why no two runs are identical.
Colours, motifs and small design details may vary from the photographs shown. Photographs and any colours on your screen are representative rather than exact, and screens themselves render colour differently. Designs are also added and retired over time as printing changes.
Current designs, colours and availability are confirmed when you enquire. If an exact match matters to you, please tell us when you ask and we will tell you honestly what we can do.
Products shown without a photograph
Some products in the catalogue are listed by name and contents without a photograph. That is deliberate and it is not an error. It means we do not currently have a photograph of that product that we are confident is the right one, and we would rather show you nothing than show you something else.
Those products are real and you can ask about them in the ordinary way. We will send current photographs on request.
Enquiries, orders and availability
Nothing on this website is an offer capable of being accepted, and no contract is formed through this website.
Sending an enquiry, by any route, is a request for information. It is not an order, it does not reserve anything and it does not confirm stock. Adding designs to your shortlist has no effect on our stock at all.
An order exists only when we have confirmed it with you directly and told you what is available, in what colours and quantities, at what price and on what timing. Until then, nothing is committed on either side.
Prices, payment and delivery
This website does not show prices and does not take payment. Prices are quoted when you enquire, and they depend on the design, the quantity and any customisation.
Collection from our Fort showroom is the simplest route. Where delivery is needed, we arrange it with you directly and tell you what it involves. Because no sale happens on this website, there is no online return, cancellation or refund process here. Anything of that kind is handled as part of the arrangement we make with you, and we will be straightforward about it.
Your shortlist
The shortlist is a convenience for you. It remembers the designs you pick so that you can send us one clear enquiry instead of several.
It is stored in your own browser, it is not sent to us until you choose to send it, it reserves nothing and it commits you to nothing. It may be lost if you clear your browser data or use a different device, so please do not treat it as a record of an order.
Using this website
You are welcome to browse this website, and to print or save pages for your own personal use or to discuss a purchase with us.
Please do not use the website in a way that damages it or interferes with anyone else’s use of it, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, scrape or copy the catalogue systematically, or use anything from it in a way that breaks the law.
Designs, images and other intellectual property
The designs, artwork, product photography, text, page design and the Chimanlals name and wordmark on this website belong to Chimanlals Private Limited or are used by us with permission. They are protected under Indian copyright and trade mark law.
You may not copy, reproduce, adapt or republish them for commercial purposes, and you may not use our designs or artwork to make or sell products, without our written permission.
Our designs draw on Indian folk art, textile and embroidery traditions, miniature painting, architecture, pottery and jewellery. That shared heritage belongs to everybody. What is ours is the particular drawing, arrangement and printing of it.
If you would like to use any of our material, please just ask.

This website links to services we do not control, including Google Maps for directions and to our public business listing, and WhatsApp for messaging.
We provide those links because they are useful. We are not responsible for those services, their content or their availability, and once you follow a link you are subject to that company’s own terms and privacy policy.
Accuracy and availability of this website
We take care to keep this website correct and current, and we correct mistakes when we find them. Even so, a catalogue of handmade products changes constantly, so please treat what you see here as a good guide rather than a guarantee, and confirm anything that matters with us before you rely on it. The showroom is always the most current version of the catalogue.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of this website at any time, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of interruption.
Our responsibility
We take responsibility for what we should. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and any other law protecting your rights as a consumer. Those rights stand whatever this page says.
Beyond that, this website is provided as an information service, and we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on the website alone rather than confirming with us, or for problems with your own device, connection or software.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this website. This does not take away any right you have as a consumer to bring a complaint in the forum the law allows you.
